High School: 12 YRS TO 18 YRS

The High School program allows all levels of athletes to set individual skill goals and build apparatus routines for personal achievement with the opportunity to perform in local events or to represent your High School under BC School Sport competitions. A fun opportunity to improve fitness and skills alongside schoolmates and friends.

All levels are eligible to compete in the BC High School competitions at their appropriate level; represent their school, their team level and the school district. A Zone meet is held in January and the BC High School Sport Provincial Championship meet is held in March.

Want to try High School gymnastics but not compete in the high school level competitions? Check out the Skill Builders program below to continue your skill learning.

KGTC provides a safe, friendly environment with professional coaches to help you learn. Gymnastics can be adapted to be inclusive for everyone, regardless of your ability. What are you waiting for – Join KGTC today!

How do I register? You may register online or in person.

When do I register?

  • Classes run in 20 week sessions: fall -winter and spring.
  • Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Fall – Winter registration opens in mid-July.
  • Spring registration  begins with member priority registration in November. General registration begins in mid-December.
  • Summer camp registration begins in mid-May.

What to bring to a session? We want athletes to have fun while they learn in a safe and secure environment.

They should wear comfortable clothing that allows them to move easily. Leotards are preferable – shorts and t-shirt are great – just ensure that clothes are not too baggy as it may become a danger or too tight to be restrictive. Long hair should be tied back and sock and shoes removed. Jewellery or other items that might cause scratching or become caught in materials must be removed.

KGTC has leotards and shorts available to purchase in the Athlete Boutique.

Food and Drink? A water bottle is permitted. No food or juices are permitted in the sessions unless for medical reasons.
