Athlete Code of Conduct

Athletes of Kamloops Gymnastics | Trampoline Centre are expected to conduct themselves at all times in the spirit of fair play and in a responsible manner.

As a member of KGTC, I agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct:

  • I have the right to have fun.
  • I have the right to participate in sports.
  • I have the right to qualified coaches and administrators.
  • I have the right to participate in a safe and healthy environment.
  • I have the right to proper conditioning and preparation for my sport.
  • I have the right to equal opportunity to strive for success.
  • I have the right to be treated with dignity from other athletes, coaches, officials, spectators and parents.

  • I will practice good sportsmanship.
  • I will follow the rules and guidelines set out for me.
  • I will have a positive attitude.
  • I will treat myself and my body with respect.
  • I will support, encourage and respect my opponents and teammates.
  • I will be respectful and ensure I am using equipment properly and safely.
  • I will ensure all personal belongings and cell phones remain in secure lockers and cell phones will be muted.
  • I will prepare myself for my best performance both physically and mentally.
  • I will remember that winning isn’t everything – that having fun, improving skills, making friends and doing my best are as important.
  • I will acknowledge all good performances.
  • I will participate because I want to, not just because my parents or coaches want me to.
  • I will remember that coaches and officials are there to help me and I will accept their decisions and show them respect.
  • I will address fellow athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, event organizers, spectators and others associated with Gymnastics | Trampoline in a courteous and respectful manner.
